Anweld

Anweld was a Black Metal band that we formed in 1996 with a friend. The term Black Metal probably best describes the genre we were inspired by. We were inspired by bands such as Burzum, Mayhem, Bathory and many other bands from that period.

Anweld

Anweld was a Black Metal band that we formed in 1996. The term Black Metal probably best describes the genre we were inspired by. We were inspired by bands like Burzum, Mayhem,Bathory and many other bands from that period. We recorded the cassette in the garage where we kept our equipment.

The trees on the demo cover grew in an old cemetery near where we lived. The guitar I played was bought from Rob Darken of Graveland. It's the same one on which Graveland recorded the 1992 demo "Drunemeton."

We had plans to record another demo "of the warriors of the night will cry wolf". Unfortunately, after the flood in 97 these plans were abandoned, as our equipment was destroyed, as the garage was located by the Oder River. Several recordings were prepared and can be listened to. Several are in a restored version. The lyrics have not survived in their entirety and only a few have been restored. The lyrics were written by a person we knew.

Anweld was a Polish Black Metal band, active mainly in the 1990s. The group formed in Wroclaw, Lower Silesia, in 1992 and was active until 1997, when it broke up. Anweld's music was characterized by themes inspired by the spirit of old forests. Unfortunately, their second demo from 1997, titled "O warriors of the night shall cry wolves," was never released due to a flood that destroyed the band's equipment.
Anweld's Black Metal style was inspired by significant groups in the genre, such as Burzum, Mayhem and Bathory. These influences reflected the band's commitment to the Black Metal genre, which they felt best described their music. They recorded their music in a garage, which also served as an equipment storage area.
Anweld's existence during the formative period of the Black Metal genre in the 1990s makes them part of the early history of the movement, especially in the Polish Black Metal scene. Their work and contributions, although short-lived, played a role in the development of the genre in Eastern Europe.
